Why Choose Port Douglas Community Kindergarten
Port Douglas Community Kindergarten has been operating since August 2002 in a purpose built facility. We are an affiliate of C&K, which is our Central Governing Body. We are a not-for-profit organisation administered by a volunteer parent management committee.

  • Your child is guided by highly qualified early childhood educators with experience teaching grade Prep, One and Two who support your child’s curiosity, creativity, problem solving, resilience and real world knowledge and skills. Kindy is vital to help your child get ready for school.
  • We are committed to ensuring your child progresses in all curriculum areas as well as focusing on creativity and social, emotional development.
  • Our beautiful, large outdoor environment provides a stimulating, natural, sustainable space where children are encouraged to engage, explore, discover learning.
  • We create learning environments where children feel loved, happy and secure and have the freedom to think and express themselves.
  • We embrace the diversity of children, families and communities.
  • We are located on the grounds of Port Douglas State School and have strong community partnerships.
  • The children have consistent days, hours, educators and friendship groups.
